The Passive
Пассивный залог
The Passive is used when the action is more important than the person who does it.
Пассив используется, когда действие важнее, чем человек, который его выполняет.
To mention the person or thing who does the action we use the word by.
Чтобы назвать лицо или предмет, которые совершают действие, используем слово by.
To form the Passive we use the auxiliary verb be + the Participle II.
Чтобы образовать пассив, используем вспомогательный глагол be + Причастие II.
The Icehotel is made of ice and snow.
Айсхотел сделан из льда и снега.
This five-star resort is being built below the sea.
Этот пятизвёздочный курорт строится под водой.

English afternoon tea and the Japanese tea ceremony are famous all over the world. Have you ever 1) realised that drinking tea in Russia is as popular as in England or Japan?
