Past simple affirmative
Past Simple: утвердительные предложения
We use the past simple to talk about events in the past.
Past Simple используем, чтобы говорить о событиях в прошлом.
All persons are the same.

The pronunciation of the past simple of regular verbs changes, depending on the spelling of the verb:
Произношение окончания -ed у правильных глаголов зависит от последнего звука глагола:
[t] when the verb ends in an unvoiced sound, the past simple is pronounced
[t] — если глагол оканчивается на глухой звук, окончание читается как [t]
[t]: watch -> watched
[t]: watch → watched
[d] when the verb ends in a voiced sound, the past simple is pronounced [d]: play -> played
[d] — если глагол оканчивается на звонкий звук: play → played
[id] when the verb ends in t or d, the past simple is pronounced [id]: want -> wanted
[id] — если глагол оканчивается на t или d: want → wanted
